Guyana Baseball League Seeks Corporate Sponsorship & Donations
Mission
The Guyana Baseball League (GBL) was founded in September 2011 with a clear goal to introduce America's pastime as a recreational and competitive sport in a sustainable manner to benefit the nation’s youth in a sport-first grassroots effort. Currently, the popularity of this beautiful game in Guyana is the result of a prolonged campaign to educate the populous about the sport and empower communities as a result.
Milestones
Donate or become a partner. We invite proposals for long term partnerships. Donations are welcome to address challenges of: equipment, playing fields and competing in upcoming boy & girl U15 Championship tournaments.
If interested in helping through sponsorship, partnership or donations please contact Evan Stancil at evanstancil@baseballguyana.com.

Milestones
- The GBL was officially recognized by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), in July 2012 and International Olympic Committee.
- In January 2013 the first game was played on Guyana's private baseball field and the GBL constitutes 6 teams presently.

- Equipment donations can only cover 20% of the need for the GBL, which must use an inefficient system of sharing equipment.
- We currently play on grass fields, but there is a need to build a baseball field to build the GBL's identity and local interest.
- The U15 championships serve as an American qualifier for the IBAF 15U Baseball World Cup in 2014.
